The Vision is to continue etiquette training that addresses the evolving needs of today and tomorrow’s society. We will focus on developing:

  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Professional Networking Abilities
  • Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
  • Dining Etiquette and Social Graces
  • Digital Communication Proficiency

By empowering individuals with these crucial skills, Etiquette Matters for Youth &
Adults
aim to create a positive effect in communities, workplaces, and social environments.

The Beginning

Etiquette Matters for Youth & Adults Inc. was born from a profound moment of parental insight. One morning, as I prepared to drop off my 4-year-old daughter at daycare, I noticed her pocketing toys and candy. When asked why, her response was both innocent and alarming: “To give to kids… so they can be my friends.” This simple statement became a catalyst for change, igniting a passion to address the complex issues of self-esteem in children. Recognizing the potential to make a positive impact, I began exploring ways to support not only my daughter but other children facing similar challenges. With the guidance of my community-engaged sister, I began to investigate the world of non-profit organizations. Together, we crafted a vision for Etiquette Matters for Youth, later expanding to include adults, addressing a critical need in our society.

As we continue to grow and evolve, Etiquette Matters for Youth & Adults Inc. remains committed to fostering a community where individuals of all ages can thrive socially, emotionally, and professionally. Through our programs and services, we aspire to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve, helping them build meaningful relationships and achieve personal and professional success.

We have identified a valuable opportunity to partner with a successful business that will provide participants with essential skills for the workplace. This organization will teach job readiness skills, employment techniques, and workplace etiquette. Gaining these skills will greatly benefit participants as they enter the job market. By immersing our trainees in a realistic restaurant environment, the program will enable them to practice and refine their newly acquired skills. This hands-on experience will not only boost participants’ confidence but also enhance their competitiveness in the job market. The organization is enthusiastic about this new venture and its potential impact on youth development. We have also established strategic partnerships with several reputable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Kemba FCU, Sam’s Club, Southeast Library, American Red Cross, Urban League, Modeling Agency, Obetz Church of the Nazarene. These partnerships will provide additional resources and support for our program participants, further enhancing their learning experience and career opportunities. By expanding our partnership network, we aim to enhance value for our youth and adult participants.
